I fiddled with a carry trade a few years ago, '00 to '01 I suppose, when I was getting 6% risk free for a year. Haven't messed with it since then though. $10 on 8000.... that would take infinity plus one months (or is it years?) to pay off. No wonder the GOP defeated that DEM-sponsored rider to put the # months it would take to pay off the balance at the rate of the minimum payment -- they knew that the infinity symbol would just confuse the sheeple. Better to tape a valium on that spot instead.
