Does anyone here know anything about GMAIL?

I set up a new account and am accessing it through a POP server. I am receiving two (duplicate) emails every email.

I am not forwarding anything to create a duplicate.

Does anyone have an idea about what could be wrong?

Thanks for your input.
Both the 'warn if changing between secure and not secure mode' and content were already turned off.
This problem is a real nuisance. Sometimes it will pop-up 2 or 3 times in a row before allowing the screen to be shown.
Running '2000 here. However the hotfix will help me at home, where I'm running XP and have the problem.
