By showing the program back to back each evening, and then running them again in the middle of the night... PBS aired each segment four times.

There's really no shame in confessing...
I watched part one nearly three times over.
And I watched part two twice.

Yeah, glued.

When I went to see Bob in St. Paul this summer.. he did not address the audience in plain speech on but one occasion. And that was to say hello to his friend, Tony Glover, right before his encore. Having just discovered Tony through Spider John this past winter and thus being able to acknowledge their kinship, that made me smile.

It was a treat to see the several comments that Tony made in No Direction Home. And now, having seen what Bob went through as he transitioned to rock 'n' roll, I have a new appreciation for the song that he closed his memorable St. Paul performance with...
Like A Rolling Stone.

The crowd went nuts.
