And I could make up my own thrill of the hunt stories... trust me, you won't me "making them up". you'll have the Real McCoy stories to tell, complete with photos. best investments i've made have been in a good camera and an annual pass to the provincial parks and another for all of the conservation areas in my region. as for how you feel after shooting, i obviously can't speak for everyone, but i'd rather be looking at photos of wildlife than having to skin and dress them (i've actually done a bit of that for other people, but it's not my favourite way of spending an afternoon or evening). the closest i come to being around dead wildlife is in photographing roadkills for a collection that i use as a commentary on how and where we build roads. i really don't enjoy shooting such photos, but i think they speak volumes on what we're doing to wildlife habitat. If they make people stop to think, then it's been worth the effort. ~croc
