Enron and Bush-Cheney-Rove were peas in the same pod.
Cheney's coverup regarding his energy papers raises huge ethical questions as the energy gouging started the day after Bush-Cheney were nominated and only ended (temporarily) the day after Jeffords switched parties and gave Dems subpoena powers.

I said this is an administration of corporate (mainly energy) crooks. So far the evidence is backing up my thesis. I'm afraid it's a lot worse than even I suspected though.

John, these are interesting turn of events. Not sure what the real story is. It is possible that there is some infighting going on between the Republicans.

Frist has lost the support of the extreme right in the Republican party for his support of stem cell research. So it is possible that those right wing Repubs let the HCA stock sale out to the SEC. At the same time the moderate Repubs who did not like Delay's/Bush's strong arm tactics in Congress have gone against them. We are not sure what evidence the DA has. I guess Delay's lawyers will get to see that during the discovery phase. And then Delay may decide on a plea bargain, by which time he will be finished politically.

As far as Frist is concerned, that is one less candidate for the Repub nomination in '08. It clears the path for Jeb Bush. I will not be surprised in they try to clear McCain out of the way for Jeb. Just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Just IMHO. Speculating the politics as always.
