The thing about Iraq is that we may not have any choices left. If we've really run out of billions to spend in reconstruction, if we're back fighting Shiites, if the constitutional process leaves the Sunnis out in the cold.... what then? Bush's answer is to attack Iran? Bush's answer is to attack Syria? Does that make any sense to anyone even to Republicans?

"Yup, we must honor the American dead by having more killed so that we can get Iraq back to square one. This is total madness." Yes, let's honor the fallen with more dead! I saw a great political cartoon with a line of headstones fading into the distance with an open grave next to the nearest. On each headstone was an arrow point to the next with the epitath "I died to honor his sacrifice"
