Where do you come up with this stuff? It was just reported that their are approx. 176,000 Iraqi's now trained in 82 battallions of which a large percentage (I just forgot the amount) are fighting alongside Coalition forces. The NEGATIVE in that report was that there STILL is only about ONE Battalion capable of fighting ALONE against the terrorists. That is the same number (1) as earlier BUT I suspect the main reason is a combination of lack of Officers, trained NCO's and equipment. Since officers are now being trained by all the Nato nations, NCO's are probably getting valuable experience alongside Coalition forces and equipment is likely to be made available when we are comfortable that they are ready to properly use it that number could change very quickly IMHO. jdn
