Let's get to the point and cut the hot air over Iran's presumed nuclear program:

Iran wants to implement a currency change in the sale of crude oil to its customers during the first quarter of 2006. That is the major source of conflict here and where tensions are coming from.

Iran's proposal to receive payments for crude oil sales to Europe in euros instead of U.S. dollars threatens the supremacy of the US Dollar as the reserve currency of the World.

It is as clear as noonday light what the Bush Administration will do unless Iran changes its tune in regard to the USD.
