Taikun Re: "ADR Listing" The Bank of New York has a really good ADR listing: www.adrbny.com/dr_directory.jsp with even bunches of USA pink sheet listings. Some of these I didn't know traded here at all, even on the PK's.

Greetings Taikun,
I know of no good investments in Canada OTHER THAN the oil, gas, uranium, coal stocks. Canada has no defenses against either Chinese/Indian competition or US Smoot-Hawley type protectionism.
Quite possibly just a prejudice of mine, but I consider Japanese real estate safer than manufacturing. In a good location of course.
I don't know the duration of the nascent Japanese boom, it might be one year or 10 years. In any case, I still get the feeling of impermanence. There has been no political change worth talking about. There is no attempt to establish world class education in technology. As for the Post Office privatization, I still suspect that the LDP will keep control over the result, i.e. to whom the vast funds are lent, who are the leading officers of the result company etc.
Jolly good luck to you with your Japanese investments.
