It's a stupid comment. If he is really oppossed to abortion, don't link the terrible practice with any other desirable goal of society, even hypothetically. Would you support a statement that if you wanted to lower the number of gays in America you should kill everyone in San Francisco since it has a higher percentage of gays? Hey, Bush sees my point. He got on this one real fast, faster than hurricane relief or just about anything else. And if nothing else...it is a stupid comment politically. I am sure that is the most damaging aspect of it...the dems are just gonna pound on it, right or wrong.
