Geode00, with all respect for Hersh, that's undoubtedly an inaccurate representation of what happened. It wasn't all one race shooting those poor bastards and it wasn't all coldly conducted. I've read accounts and during the process there were men who tried to stop it. The sad thing, however, is that if they'd have called in a bomb strike or artillery to kill the same number of people no one would have said a thing. It happened and it happens. I guess it's worse when you do it face to face than when you do it from a distance. Ed
