Glacier advance is a function of snowfall at the top of the glaciers. Snowfall is a function of how much humidity there is in the air which reaches dew point and freezes, falling to the ground. Humidity is a function of how much evaporation there is. Evaporation is a function of temperature, and the warmer the water is, the faster it evaporates. Water gets warm because of global warming. Hey presto, glaciers grow because of global warming. Counterintuitive, but there it is. Mqurice
