Mike, Read this website. This man has invented a remarkable system for recycling anything and everything. No matter how poisoned it is. His name is Barry Fisher of Prime Environmental International He proposes a complete plan for the renewal in place of everything destroyed during Katrina and Rita. Including animal remains. He has already leased a large warehouse in NO to begin his recycling. His system completely isolates the poisons, reshapes the product into dimensional lumber that has a minimum of a 50 year lifespan. Mold, bacteria and toxins are nuetralized or isolated into a matrix within the material. Even asbestos can be isolated into this product. His process will use local labor which will create jobs. Processing on site will save tremendous cost of hauling to a landfill. Not to talk about the saving of disposal into a landfill. This guy may be an American hero.... If you have a chance to listen to him talk about it do. He is brilliant. I think his project could bring radical change to our refuse and landfill industry.
