Diversification inherently is a hedge and cash is a part of that. Right now though cash is not king, imo. I would not recommend holding a lot of cash if one is looking to create wealth. Having said that, I do plan to raise some cash to take advantage of tax loss selling. This is when I hope to be able to move my energy profits into base metals and gold stocks.
