Nothing wrong with the notion that blacks are more likely to commit crimes. Statistics support that notion, along with the culture that blacks share amongst themselves.

Your racist tendencies are showing...your paragraph is exactly why Bennett's response is so harmful. Idiots out there are likely to conclude that blacks are genetically and socially more likely to commit crimes. After all, according to you, statistics support it. Ask rush limbaugh about black quarterbacks.

One of the biggest problems holding back race relations in this nation is the fact that topics of race have become taboo thanks to the extreme overattention paid to "sensitivity."

The reason holding back relations is our history of slavery and segregation moron, also the reason IT IS sensitive ground, or your hero the prez would have felt no obligation to condemn the remarks. Race is not the reason blacks are more likely to commit crimes, social and economic standing are. Exactly why it's important for the bennett and others in a position to influence lazy patricians like yourself to be sensitive and for us to be precise.

Al

He could have made his original point without mentioning race, that's true.

I don't think people object to his mentioning race an much as his proposal that genocide could be a solution to a problem. If he had pointed out that killing all the white babies in order to improve race relations (wouldn't have any white-black problems if all the whites were dead) he would have incurred a similar wrath.

His suggestion is just in extremely poor taste and judgment, why you defending it?

Al, Even if what he meant was as you say, he helps perpetuate the notion that blacks are more likely to be criminals...rather than the more refined point, which is that their socio-economic standing is what makes them more likely to commit crimes.

Another "nuance" that you conveniently draw to give yourself the high ground.

Nothing wrong with the notion that blacks are more likely to commit crimes. Statistics support that notion, along with the culture that blacks share amongst themselves. The false assumption made by PC Nazis like yourself is that those who dare state the truth are somehow condemning all blacks to a life of crime.

What truth, Ten? Bennett is claiming the indiscriminate aborting of black fetuses will lead to a reduction in crime. No one......absolutely no one, including you........ can make that statement and be 100% certain that its true. There are other outcomes that Bennett and you refuse to consider........and that's what makes it an unPC statement to make. And that's what makes Bennett an asshole for saying it.

And if you can't be 100% certain of the outcome why would you make such a public statement in a society as racially diverse as this one? Only a fool or a bigot would do so. So which one is Bennett?

Or that the comments might be construed in such a way, and that would be "insensitive." Puh-lease. One of the biggest problems holding back race relations in this nation is the fact that topics of race have become taboo thanks to the extreme overattention paid to "sensitivity." (Of course, the same PC Nazis don't spare one shred of "sensitivity" toward white trash, red state conservatives, nor do they spare any for those minorities they call "Uncle Tom sellouts.")

Trust me, if everyone spoke their minds publicly about race in this country, we would be in a race war within a year. Just because you don't hear bigoted comments doesn't mean that there is silence on the subject.

So back to Mr. Bennett. He could have made his original point without mentioning race, that's true. But you have some nerve to suggest more "refined points" when your only purpose is one of personal destruction. Of course, to you, it's all about "ideology." Right.

So you admire Bennett for speaking his little mind? Is that what you're saying?
