You're better off thinking of the costs and benefits to the people of the planet when thinking of Iraq. If it were only about US lives, the US would leave immediately, and let the poor bastards go up in flames. Iraq has become the worst hell hole on earth. Yeah, lots of Iraqi moving to Sudan, Ethiopia, Iran, Syria, Palestine and Somalia these days.
