...."Is it not be stupid for Bill Bennett to give them fodder by saying something which can so easily be taken out of context, used as a sound-bite, and be employed as a tool to embarrass Bennett?"....

Why do you insist on repeating the same thoroughly discredited
tripe over & over? Rephrasing the same bunk doesn't change it
from wrong to right no matter how you say it.

The MSM, the DNC, grievance mongers & unhinged libs are 100%
at fault here. They had no legitimate basis to attack Bennett.

That was pure crap the 1st time you said it & the odor is
just as pungent on your 3rd attempt. Either drop it or back
it up with something credible & reality based that doesn't
place the onus on the innocent while the guilty parties get
another free pass.

It's interesting how you continue to repeatedly sate Bennett
is "stupid" when he did nothing wrong**. Repeatedly asserting
it does not make it a fact, so stop it NOW.

Meanwhile you can't find any fault with Bennet's attackers.
They had to intentionally twist his words in order to
pretended they were hysterically outraged. They need to
publicly & sincerely apologize that Bennett did nothing to
justify their manufactured outrage.

...."Having so stupidly said something so easily taken out of context (an error of judgment) Bennett should have apologized to strategically reduce the damages, but instead compounded it."

Why do you keep repeating the same crap you have already said
before? It was bunk before. It's bunk now.

Nothing Bennett said was inaccurate, inappropriate or
insensitive. He has absolutely nothing to apologize for. You
are placing the onus on the innocent to appease the guilty.
That is so obviously wrong even a biased left winger like you
has to see that.

If you still disagree, then present something credible that
hasn't been discussed. If not drop it.

** RE: your repeated, unsubstantiated assertions that Bennett is stupid. It's painfully obvious you are doing this as an excuse to attack or marginalize Bennett. This is the last time I will warn you about thread standards. From the thread header:

* Personal attacks, name calling, insults, etc., directed at anyone will be dealt with harshly. Yes you can be civil & still point out harsh yet reality based truths (again the keys are frequency of use & accuracy). I.E., when someone has repeatedly lied or asserts discredited propaganda as fact, etc., I do allow appropriate descriptors to be used only when it can be clearly substantiated. Do not use those descriptors as an excuse to attack or marginalize.

...."Just like Durbin, Bennett was right in his comments, but standing by them lacks pragmatism. And yes Durbin's apology was lame, but it sufficed and he will be reelected. It's a good thing Bennett is not running for anything - he'd be strung up by his prose."....

It's amazing how many reality defying things you can cram
into a two sentence paragraph. I'm only going to focus on one.

Please explain to me how Durbin's heinously false, outrageous
slander of our military is somehow "right" in your alternate
universe.

Please provide facts & credible, independently verifiable
evidence that establishes convincingly how these false
allegations about a scant few interrogations of prisoners
equates our military with,
"Nazi's, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime --
Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human
beings."
Unfrickingbelievable!
