Nobody knows is simply the truth. It does not mean that it's unknowable. It just means there are no convincing studies out there to make sense of the nature versus nurture argument.

There are plenty of opinions but no facts. You know, if the data sucks then the conclusions made from the data suck as well.

Where does mathematical ability reside and why do some people have more of it than others? Is the ability to do well in standardized math tests a subset of mathematical genius?

If you can figure out where and how in the brain this ability is, prove that it's linked to gender and cannot be significantly affected by the environment. Then you'll have something to the argument.

You will then also have to revisit the argument of free will. If much more of life is tied to our DNA than we wish to admit, we will have more of a problem blaming people for their troubles.
