>>"Let Saddam's regime establish a precedent for violating binding UN resolutions and might has well just scrap the institution altogether and return to the multi-polar global power structure that existed prior to WWII."<<

Oh yeah, let's invade Israel...they have been violating UN Resolutions for years. What a dimwit.
Maybe you have forgotten also that the UN Inspectors were back in inspecting looking for those illusive WMD when Bush told them to get out so he could invade.

>>"As for "Bush and his invasion".. I would like to know how you view Islamic Militants fighting in Iraq should be viewed any differently? They are the invading force now. They are not wanted. They intimidate and brutalize those who oppose them.

They blow up Shi'ite mosques.. publically call for the killing of all Shi'tes and urging a civil war between Shia and Sunni... All just as uninvited and WITHOUT even a shred of the authority that the UN sanctions and resolutions provided to Bush's action.."<<

Maybe you have forgotten this also... they are not the "foreigners", we are and they were not blowing up anything when Saddam was in power and the Inspectors were inspecting and what happened???? Bush invaded!!!

Yeah, yeah, just as the guy defending this madness said on NPR last week...We cannot leave now... we cannot leave Iraq worse than we found it!!!!
