I'm not surprised Siebel got acquired. It was their only way out.

I'm not surprised either, nor am I surprised any of these software cmpanies gets acquired at this point as their only way out.

But, that doesn't mean customers can dump the products that they bought, nor can they build them themselves. Its almost impossible to automate complex business processes across industries. The Siebel customers have a choice, go back to a paper system where there is no visibility/accountability, or continue to use siebel, I think they will choose the latter.
