...."Your contention that it is the Main Stream Media and the Liberals that bash Bush is rather full of beans"....

If only there wasn't that mountain of evidence that proves
your alternate universe so completely wrong, you'd have a leg
to stand on. Instead, the MSM just keeps on smearing
slandering, lying, distorting & misleading Americans like
clockwork. What a genuine shame.
"to have a national magazine that is read worldwide

murderous Baathists, even in passing, is beyond the pale"

Newsweek Compares Republicans to Baathists

By Tammy on Mainstream Media

The magazine that gave us the Koran-in-a-toilet fantasy, has now compared Republican Party leadership to Saddam's Baath Party. Lovely.
In the Tom DeLay era—now at least temporarily ended—a
meeting of the House Republican Conference usually was a
ceremonial affair, at which "Leadership" (always a single
word, spoken with a mixture of awe and fear) clued in the
flock on Done Deals. The proceedings had the spontaneity
of a Baath Party conclave.
The rest of the article is worth reading because it further exposes how depraved and desperate the MSM really is. You can feel the glee ooze off the screen (and I'm sure the paper). It's one thing to cover legitimate issues, or even have opinion columnists complain about policy or tactics (as I'll continue to complain about the president choosing Harriet Miers). But to have a national magazine that is read worldwide compare Republican leadership to Saddam's terrorist and murderous Baathists, even in passing, is beyond the pale.

If you subscribe, there's never been a better time to cancel. Let's boot the party organs for the leftst Democratic Party--the New York Times, TIME, and Newsweek, to start. There is one weekly newsmagazine worth subscribing to: The Economist. It has the most comprehensive and deliberative coverage on US and world issues you'll find. Even when the coverage hurts, you'll find it usually fair and on target.

"The elephant in the newsroom is our narrowness. Too
often, we wear liberalism on our sleeve and are
intolerant of other lifestyles and opinions. . . . We're
not very subtle about it at this paper: If you work here,
you must be one of us. You must be liberal, progressive,
a Democrat. I've been in communal gatherings in The Post,
watching election returns, and have been flabbergasted to
see my colleagues cheer unabashedly for the Democrats."
