Thank you so much Pattibob. My daughter-in-law makes candles with soy wax and I put one up there yesterday and lit when they got here. It smells like Watermelon and the scent is so pleasant. When the wax is warm you can also use it on your hands as a hand cream to soften them.

They have not returned from the hospital yet and I am anxious to hear how everything went for her today. I know she will be worn out when she gets here as tiredness is one of her usual complaints. I just hope it is not too long for her to get accepted to a trial. When she called me she told me it may be days or it might be a month, but I will be happy to have them no matter how long it takes.

Got another surprise Saturday in the mail inviting me to my great-grandfather's unveiling of his headstone by the Washington Cemetery Historic Trust and after calling the contact I am going to be the one to unveil that. How exciting for me. Also sent me a copy of our family tree and I remember meeting some of our relatives when I was young and my Mom and Dad kept contact with them. They also sent me his death notice in The Houston Chronicle dated December 8, 1906. I remember going to his original home as relatives were living there and at one time my grandfather lived there and it was built up and we kids used to play under the house. It was not very far down the street from where I grew up and my grandparents lived in a big two story house, and one aunt lived behind them, then my Dad and Mom lived right next door to the Aunt and the other Aunt lived across the street caticorner to them. My grandfather built all their houses. It was like a family compound so I was very close to both aunts growing up, as well as my grandparents. There were only three grandchildren, my sister and I and a boy cousin next door. Only my sister and I survive now. I wish she could be here but the last time she came to visit me, she told me later it was the last time she would travel here as the trip was just too hard on her. I will report everything to her and we plan to also take pictures and they will have a photographer there at the service to capture all of their activities. I asked if other family members could come and she said, "Absolutely, anyone interested in your family is invited". Now off to call the kids and see who wants to go with me. One daughter was here when I opened the letter and she definitely wants to go. Maybe it will make her become interested in seeing if we have anyone left that may be related to us to contact or get me motivated. Did tell me that a man is coming from San Antonio that was related, but I have no idea how old he may be, but it will be interesting to talk with him at the reception after the ceremonies they are having at the Church where my grandson was married. Just hope the weather is not too hot but she told me to have everyone dress comfortably and I will for sure as our weather has been rather warm. We were expecting a cool front, but it must have gotten lost somewhere. Very hot today, but maybe it will find its way here by next Saturday and will be more comfortable for all of us.
