Not too much, imo. As we can see from Don's weekly updates, individual stocks within the group can deviate from the whole very dramatically. While I do watch many stocks from the group, as well as many different indexes, it's the action in the individual stock I'm trading that has 80% to 90% of my attention. Certainly if they are all selling off, I'm more cautious. But the individual stock's merits and trading action are by far the most important factors. For example, are there a ton of large blocks being traded? If so, then one should be very alert for a trend change. The volume or large blocks might reinforce the trend and this is should be noted (or watched carefully) so one doesn't dump when it makes more sense to hold for more gains. As much as I try to be unemotional about my trading, there is some "gut" factor to it. If there's one thing I'll reinforce here, it's that I'd much rather walk away with a small gain then have a gain reverse into a loss.

I'm less worried about a stock getting away from me then I am having my gain get away from me!
