Saxon launched a takeover for DLR today at a price of $1.85 / share ($57M) today. With the assumption of debt, the deal was worth $72.

stockhouse.ca

The valuations based on latest year end results of .05 EPS and rev. of $33M in 2004 equate to PE of 37 and P/S of 1.73 (using $57 M). If we were to apply these ratios to HYD, based on PE and P/S for fiscal 2005 where HYD had EPS of .22 and rev. of $70, the calculated share price would be $8.14 and $7 respectively.

Based on earnings and rev. in Q1 (rev. projected to be $100M in 2006), both could rise 40%, one could tack on another 40% to those prices to arrive at $11.40 and $9.80.

This is close to your "3 bagger" potential from $3 that you mentioned.

So much for this quasi empirical evaluation.

Crossy, thanks for this find. Looks very interesting as I have been targeting oil service stocks for awhile. Getting away from oil exploration at this time. Still I believe as I look at this stock that your estimates for .25-.30 is very low. If you look they received .22 cents last year in earnings. And Q1 of 2006 was .05 higher than Q1 of 2005. If they even just equal earnings from last year we should minimally expect .27 for 2006.

But this company is greatly advancing internationally and canadian drilling is picking up more and more with the prices as they are. Margins should also be increasing from Q1 as you noted which will significantly help earnings. I do not believe it will be a stretch for earnings to come in .35-.40 cents for 2006 with possible upside.

Have you talked to the management of this company by chance? Why is their website so outdated. Their investor relations section still is on 2002! Eeek. I have not moved into Canadian stocks lately as I am still a relatively new small investor. Looking to make the jump soon. Still researching this company, but once again thanks for this research.
