"Chryler has the 5.7 Hemi engine that I think they call multiported, anyhow the way it works is once you get up to highway speed and dont need the power anymore 4 of the 8 cylinders shut down and you run on the 4 cylinders." Yep... but I always heard that the worst gas mileage was in 'stop-and-go' traffic, getting up to highway speeds, etc. Wonder how the multi-port Hemi would stack up next to a good diesel for operating expense and power to the road?
