I think that the August decline could have been an impulse - a Leading Diagonal.

It is also possible that the post-Katrina rally was a sharp correction -- a "three". In this case the formation since the August low is readable as a ABC-X-ABC, with the latest "C" having topped out today.

Do I feel strongly about this count? No. If today's top gets taken out, all this will be in the garbage.

The market has been in a pretty wacky range lately... For some strange reason I'm enjoying it... -g.

What I like much less, are the ominous looking charts of energies. Mighty 3 waves down on OIH and XLE. The dilemma is - to buy more, or to run?
