I was prepared to think that too...but the Dems, including Reid, came out with statements less than 1/2 hour after the nomination. Evidently all of them had their talking/yelling points already decided, no matter who was nominated.

With Meirs, Reid and group must have known that the right of center Repubs would kick up quite a fuss....Even Shummer, while immediately to the microphones, had to parse his words carefully. What dim bulbs.

I think Reid was "playing again".....he's hoping the tilting way-right folks with vote against her, so the Dems can look reasonable if/when the nomination fails. T

HEN the Dems can really explode if a true known conservative is nominated.
