<"I heard that women rate intelligence high on the list for desirable mating characteristics."

You're talking about how women calculate for a mate. I'm talking about what makes them warm and runny. It's not Stephen Hawking!
I challenge you to find ONE woman that gets warm and runny over Stephen Hawking - even his wife if you like. Sex is an ANIMAL function

I agree that it's better to see what really happens rather than do market research, which is just a verbal test of what people say when asked something, which notoriously is not the same as what they do.

So, what actually happens? There are 6 billion of us to see the results.

I see that women have been selecting for intelligence, otherwise you wouldn't be with us for a start. They have not been selecting for particularly big and tough, or men would be bigger than gorillas rather than fairly small and puny creatures for the most part. Neither have they been selecting for particularly good-looking as males are quite hideous specimens of biology. A very noticeable characteristic of males is the big lump over their eyebrows which contains their brain. It got there because women selected the bigger bumps over the Neanderthal style. Some women have been raped over the eons, by conquerors who murdered the males in the women's tribe, but for the most part, women get to do plenty of selecting in relative peace.

The results speak for themselves.
