JCP, I'm curious as to how Koreans feel about the Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thais, etc.?

Er, it differs from person to person. I do know there is a lot of bitterness towards Japan for what they did prior to WWII, but the rest of Asia pretty much feels the same way. Especially China, though Korea arguably got the worst of it.

I'm curious as to how Koreans feel about the Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thais, etc.? Kinship and brotherhood? Raw hatred? Dismissive disgust? I'm clueless - help me out.

Virtually every Asian nation hates the Japanese, mainly because the Japanese were not very nice to any of them during World War 2.

Every Asian nation loves the Thais, because they have the hottest women.

Most Asian nations are afraid of the Chinese, because they are so huge in comparison, and if they get advanced economically and militarily they have no history of being a peaceful, magnanimous neighbor (I think in the Asian tsunami the 1.3 billion Chinese donated something like 20 bowls of noodles to the relief efforts....), and the Chinese system of governance is, well, not very democratic!

I really have no idea what other Asians think of the Vietnamese, although China probably thinks Vietnam should be a Chinese "special province"....
