Rhoze,

<and we all know, you didn't come
in anywhere near last ;)>

Are you nice....I was in the bottom 1/3 (the top part)<g>. It was fun...the weather was perfect and the course was set up beautifully. And I did have fun, learned a bunch of things about my game that I need to work on for next year. The majority of the guys rode golf carts - about 10% of the guys carried their bags or used a pull cart. The winner shot 71 -73.

Competition is so visceral - you either do it or you don't. Every stroke counts for 36 holes so you have to stay totally focused and not get distracted by bad shots (or good ones). It is only the next shot that counts. You learn, humility, patience, anger, joy, frustration, pressure, relief, - it's almost Zen-like when it goes well, and when things start going wrong you just have to grind it out.

At the end of the day, it's only a game....but during the match, it doesn't feel that way.
