re: Presumably it would stop the peace-loving Christians of the world from destroying the Kim regime and giving millions of starving, underdeveloped North Koreans access to the benefits enjoyed by the rest of the world. In the case of North Korea, maintaining the status quo hurts.

Who exactly do you want to destroy the Kim regime? What about the nukes?

You want a world government entity? We've got one, and because the security council can't agree (in large part because of the diplomatic ability of the Bush admin) it's ineffective. Do you think China is going to agree to a multi-national force invading North Korea? Do you think China might even militarily help NK if that were to happen?

Your view of the world is naive. It's like a "Nike political philosophy", "Just do it" without regard to who does it, how they do it, the costs, or the consequences.
