"the obvious fact that the moslum world is planning on slitting your throat... wake up..."

It has long been observed that only the 'big two' Desert Religions (Christianity and Islam) are expansionistic.

Their rivalry has played-out across the world stage for centuries.

But... perhaps your quote from above argues for a different approach, something new???????

Perhaps the US pulling out of Iraq would allow Muslims to get on with their own little intra-mural war, pitting Shiites (backed by Iran) against Sunnis (backed by Saudi Arabia), and turn their attention and hatred *inward*, and away from us....

After all, Islam never went through a Reformation, like Christianity did in the West, they never had the couple of centuries of war (like the West did between Catholicism and Protestants) necessary to turn the broader public off from Theocracies... never had the amount of religious bloodshed sufficient to spark an intellectual Reformation, and a political movement against religious control of politics and government.

Perhaps that is exactly what is needed before tolerance and pluralism can reign: a bloody, devisive intra-mural Islamic religious war, ending with the defeat of fundamentalist Theocrats on *both* sides?
