Does it sound to you that many in the conservative world are trying to hold Ms. Miers to their own brand of political correctness, urging rejection unless she can convince them of her conviction on the political/legal issues important to them?

I am really not trying to be difficult, but can you give me an example of someone dismissing hate speech during worship as a religious freedom? I'd like to investigate who is doing that. I would be surprised if they represented mainstream liberal thought.

Unless you are referring to freedom of speech. Even though I despise the KKK I would defend their right to speak.
