No the only thing needed is a person with the judicial philosophy the President described or promised to deliver when he explained why he should be given the legal right to make such decisions.

I voted to give PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH that right and I can find no examples where he has failed to do his best and his best has been supurb.

How does one do analysis?
One might say there are important positions in government and important positions. All have an idea of the relative importance of the many positions in Government. Who is George W Bush? What is his judgment in filling important positions. Vice President, Dick Cheney, Sec of Defense, Donald Rumfeld. Sec of State, Power and Rice. And then there are judges. Who are the dozens of people who the President has nominated to be federal judges. Not just Roberts, but all the others. Now am I correct in saying Ms. Miers was a major player in the process of selecting all those judges.

If Ms Miers is honest and smart, is it reasonable to assume she is honest and smart enough to know if she would be a good judge as perceived by the smartest man she ever met. Has President Bush a good record at finding honest and smart people to fill the most important positions?

What else does one need to know? What else can random personal encounters ever really tell compared to the answers in the questions above?

I expect to read a lot of straining at gnats. But based on the numbers, I first fully support President George W. Bush judgement.
