Brilliant work. I smell a future Nobel Prize in Medicine here.

My initial take is that it might be more difficult to ignite a pandemic via horizontal gene transfer from H5N1 & 'standard' human flu then first thought... but random mutation in H5N1 still seems a dangerous risk.
