Well up here in the great plains, rednecks drink too much beer, drive pickups, go to the fair (county and state), hunt both for food and for sport and take care of themselves and their families. I am not the model redneck, but I fit most of the profile. We don't skip parts of the Pledge because we believe everything in it. When Taps is played, we often know the person for whom it is being played. If we don't know at least a dozen people who can speak a foreign language they learned from their parents or grandparents then we did not grow up here. If you want to know honest hard working people, you should get to know farm folk. I know more than a few. Also, we don't trust politicians.
