Actually, it did. But with corruption rampant in Iraq, and so much at stake, you know they will fix the election. No International observers in Iraq... it's a field day for the majority.

Imagine what the elections will be like after we leave? Egypt, Iran, many countries have elections... even the old USSR and Saddam's old Iraq. Do you expect that they are going to be free and fair? Do you imagine they will be secular? No way, not with the corruption and the oil dollars involved. This will be the shortest lived "democracy" on record.
