Amateur thug! Finding a good professional is so hard...in any business. This is why after closing retailers leave the cash register open so the incompetent thieves will not smash it open.

Sorry Bill, but that's just not believable. Why would the mugger have stabbed you, thought you were dead and then have politely "asked for [your] wallet."

It seems more likely that he knew you were alive or that he never "asked for [your] wallet."

Make up your mind. Which is it, and why did you make up one or the other? I've never trusted you Bill, and this is just one more reason why.

Maybe the guy knew you or had read your posts and the wallet was an afterthought?
