Look, you may as well ask how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. If you start with the assumption that Big Oil controls all the information and can effectively maintain complete control over a vast conspiracy to hoodwink the public then I suppose any number of conclusions are possible. If, on the other hand, you're actually concerned about our energy future then do yourself a favor and read something like "Twilight In The Desert" or "The Party's Over". Of course, if Simmons and Heinberg are also part of the conspiracy, then I guess that would be a waste of time.

It is amazing that oil is a limited resource, we will run out of it this commodity in the 21 century or the next 100 years, global demand has gone up, and people still think that it is purely a game of the oil companies to manipulate and keep prices up.

Furthermore, if Big oil was able to manipulate the price of oil, why didnt they keep the price up after the oil shocks of 73 or 81 or 91? Why did they 'let' the price fall to $12 in the 90's?
