"They do so because they cannot get jobs that pay better than welfare" Another factor is if they have one or more children who are too young to go to school. You can't just leave them alone, and day care costs a significant fraction of a minimum wage job. The assumption that blacks are addicted to substandard wages that won't even pay their rent hints at the common belief held by some that blacks are subhuman and don't have the same desires and likings that are common traits in the rest of humanity, particularly whites. That assumption accomplishes two things.....it forgives society for not helping the lesser among us and it absolves whites of any guilt they might have over slavery. And yet these same people are willing to spend multi billions to 'save' Iraqis.
