IMO, "Tender Mercies" is right up there with "The Apostle."

Tender Mercies is one of my favorite films. The Great Santini is another good Duval flick. Seems a bit dated now, though.

Yep. I confused the two when I bought up the "baptism" scene. It was in "Tender Mercies." Bobby's other top film was "The Great Santini." He was in "Bullitt" and "True Grit."
