Gus > the fact that Orwell on his deathbed cared about the livelihood of his loved ones doesn't spoil his political sincerity nor his farsighted intuitions about totalitarianism. I agree. In fact, his vision has achieved Nostradamus-like qualities where anything that happens in the political world today is described as "Orwellian". It also seems that the attempt of the Establishment to discredit him wherever possible is an indication of their unease about his predictions -- and the accuracy of those predictions.
