You're a nation of gun-toting, self-righteous soldier-citizens --not unlike the Israelis" You'll not get an argument out of me. I often find myself ashamed of my country and my countrymen. Especially the Bush supporters! It'll all come back to bite us in the ass eventually. Our economy is already in decline compared with some other parts of the world, so it's only for a short while longer that we can continue to spend as much as the rest of the world combined on our military, which enables our arrogance, highhandedness and injustices. I look forward to a less assholish America, an America that is a nation among nations in the world, has to treat other countries as equals and their citizens as fully equal in value to Americans. It's long overdue, and will be good for us as well as the rest of the world. I hope it doesn't come with a lot of pain, anguish and disruption. I see a lot of evils in my country that thrived and grew in yours in the '30's. Nationalism, a sense that we're "better" than other peoples and countries and other similarities. I hope it ends more sanely for us.
