The house, which was recently renovated, did not burn down, but did sustain substantial damage. If the response had not been what is was, my home would have been in jeopardy. Elements of the FDNY, Bergen County FD, and Bloomfield FD responded, though all of the equipment was NOFD. A lot of fires recently, some arson, for obvious reasons. A huge mansion on Audubon Place, where there is some scary security, including some Israelis, burned the other day. A spectacular fire. Lot of good that high priced security did.
