Been listening to Pres. Bush's speech for past 1/2 hour. Seems pretty good, didnt go into DETAIL as to how we will win this war, but I never expected that nor do I think its a good idea to lay your game plan out in plain view for our enemies. However, he has given a broad paint brush of our aims and objectives and accomplishments to date. Also spent great time on explaining WHY its so important this war be fought. Came down pretty hard on Iran and Syria, wonder what the feedback will be on that? jdn

If that's the case, I agree. That's crazy. It sounds like an "urban legend" to me. If you have a link documenting that requirement I'd like to see it.

For corporate insurance:

general, companies require that the partner be 18 or older, not related to the employee by blood nor married to someone else. The couple must live in the same permanent residence in an exclusive, emotionally committed, financially responsible relationship, similar to marriage. You may be required to prove this by showing that you share a lease or a mortgage, an insurance policy, utility bills, a joint checking account, etc.

If two guys share an apartment and one guy wants to put the other guy on his medical insurance, liberals have set up a system where these guys are required to fill out a form swearing they are having sex with each other. That's crazy.

But why in the Hell should companies be on the tab for insurance costs for two totally unrelated individuals, just 'cause they share rent???????????

If they have a committed relationship legally equivalent to marriage (common law, state-sanctioned domestic partnership, etc.) I can see where the state (through it's laws) should not permit discrimination among legally-equivalent domestic relationships....

But, FORCING a company to pick up the tab for unrelated people... where only one of them is an employee? That would be nuts. That would be socialism run rampant.
