He figures because he has never ever ever seen one single solitary thing come back from death...that he should die and then jump up again? Pretend that you get beheaded by some religious freak. You just start eating apples again and p-ssing away your time. Maybe after a trillion years you get married to somebody. Who knows? Then you are stuck with the bastard for eternity, I guess???
