I don't either and after the Bush quarantine talk, CNBC has had wall to wall coverage on the "avian flu"... Dr Strangelove is on the loose..

I just don't understand how the scientific medical community in 1997 concluded that 1918 killer flu was a swine flu and now it's morphed into an avian flu.


Let me say right off, I don't know!

But in 1997 they would have been making their comparisons on symptoms and re-infection data. Now they can sequence the DNA and have a better idea. But, as I said, I don't know.
