rose~

that's the real reason we're putting up a
fence. one with pointies on it.

well, that ought to help,
but bummer that the bike disappeared.
hope it "reappears"...

when i was a kid, we moved to a small town
and my bike used to get "disappeared"
rather frequently.
my mom used to make known that there
was a 25 cent reward for its return.
kind of amazing how this one kid used
to seem to find my bike each time and
come by to collect the reward. <g/ng>

as for the garden - if our place wasn't in
town (town is a misnomer) or was on the beach,
i'd have an all-natural yard, like the one
you described that you have. i like that idea.

well, my garden started off as quite an ambitious thing
with many old rose varieties, tons of perennials,
lilies and irises from specialty growers,
and a herb garden with well over a hundred herbs.
last thing i added was a white garden.
then, after close to 25 years of working on it,
i just turned it over to the wild about 3 years ago.
amazing how quickly nature will take over....
but i don't mind. i had my fun. (-:
