Thanks so much. I found out yesterday that I have family coming from San Antonio. Seems my Great Grandfather had a second family and it includes great, great, great relatives. I never knew of them until now and so am anxious to visit with them to see what they can tell me about our family, if anything. Also learned that we will be the first ones to unveil. Was told that if we wanted we could sneak out after that, but if my stamina holds up I want to go to as many of the others as I can. Thanks also for the information, as I did not know I had rights to be buried there also. I will get to see one of my distant cousins also, she was my Science teacher in Junior High and will be there. Had lost contact with her years ago and I know she will remember me. She was just right out of college when she first came to our school. She was named after her Dad and I recognized the name and asked her about it.

It is cooler today and I hope it holds up through the weekend. Our temperature is 75 degrees right now and it has been in the 90's this week. I am sure there are going to be a lot of old ones like me and that will surely help us.

Thanks again for the congratulations.

If you know anyone who lives near Pleasant Hill, LA, I'd like to talk to them. I have a Union soldier 3Great Uncle, who was wounded there, taken a POW and died there a month later, in April 1864...he died in May ...I don't know if he is buried there or not, and don't know if there is a stone for him. I need to know how to get ahold of someone who is caretaker for that cemetery....
