I think you are right about the timeline on the production models. If I recall correctly, the original "PC" was Altairs' 8000 [sp] that did nothing useful but excited the nerds. Steve Woz (whom I respect a lot) was a shy nerd who could not even approach people to tell them about things, but he was often approached by other nerds with questions...his raw talent was obvious to everyone. So with woz as the brain and jobs the braun, apple was born and moved on fast. I think there was a line in the documentary about how Jobs was worth $24M by the time he was 24 and how his fortune doubled every year and made it to the cover of Time...which is what got IBM's attention...thanks for saving me the time to go through the documentary...I'd say we were both right on the points we wanted to make :)
